Design Review
The goal of design review is to present the proposed solution to non-tech stakeholders of the feature to give them the opportunity to challenge the proposed solution, to collect buy-in and to re-check priorities.
Basics
Frequency: Ad-hoc
Duration: As short as possible (rather do several quick ones)
Participants: PM, Designer, Stakeholder
Goal
1. Validate issue and present test-findings
Check the status & priority of tasks
Inform about changing product priorities
2. Introduce the feature
Inform about upcoming product features:
Which screen(s) are affected
User journey changes
Design changes
The motivation for the changes
Assumption/ design tests completed
Stakeholders challenge assumption/ proposed solution
3. Prioritize the feature & plan next steps
Re-check priority/ urgency
Complete RICE score if possible
Agree on action items and deadlines
Ask each person responsible to repeat their to-dos and deadlines
Do summary of meeting in feature channel in slack
